Feel the Caribbean sun!

Punta Cana

Located in the Dominican Republic of the Caribbean Islands, this is a wonderful island to visit if you like GORGEOUS beaches, Turquoise Waters and Casino’s! Yes, casino’s, this is one of the few islands outside of Aruba that has full-fledged casino’s at most of the all-inclusive resorts dotted along Bavaro Beach. Of course, some are larger than others with Hard Rock Resort and Riu Palace Complex boasting the largest on the island. The weather in Punta Cana is tropical and humid, the average temperature remains virtually constant throughout the year, about 82-84°F. Being located in the northern hemisphere, Punta Cana is hot during the summer months (June to September), but has a pleasant winter (December to March), the average temperature is always above 68°F. To get an idea, January is the coldest month of Punta Cana; the minimum temperature can go down to 68°F and the maximum is around 86°F. As you see, it is always "summer" and you can enjoy the beaches any time of the year.

Punta Cana is a perfect destination for visiting and enjoying the sun and beach in any season. But, as almost all tourist destinations in the Caribbean Islands, Punta Cana has a risk of hurricanes and storms. The hurricane season starts in Punta Cana in early June and ends in late October. August and September are the peak months. Logically, these months are low season in Punta Cana and hotels offer attractive prices and discounts. What you need to know is that even though the summer season has a higher risk, hurricanes hit the island very seldom (there were 3 hurricane hits in the past 35 years) and normally you will find extended periods of calm and good weather. You can enjoy the high summer period in Punta Cana at affordable prices. Golfing, snorkeling and scuba are fantastic for this Caribbean Island getaway and of course those used to the all inclusive concept where all your food, drinks (even alcohol), taxes and tips are included, this is the place for you! In the summer, many major cities including Dallas has nonstop charter service which makes it a breeze to arrive to this island where baseball is #1 with the natives!
